This container is unique, can be used for anything you want, as a planter, terrarium, a bowl for a beta fish, use your imagination, it measures 12" across the bottom, it domes up and has an opening at the top that measures 5 1/2" across, and is 4 3/4" high if you flip it, then the bottom hasa bowl like opening that slants down into the bowl about 3", so as you can tell, it can be used either way.
